Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of Course A made through the website operated by starrifyel. Course A is a professional digital resource dedicated to studio production in motion, including detailed guidance on studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and the creation of smooth high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. The policy governs payments for access to this digital course material, any associated subscriptions, and related services provided to customers in the United Kingdom. It does not cover third-party products or services purchased outside this platform.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges

All prices displayed on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Customers are responsible for any additional charges such as currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider or bank. No hidden fees apply to the listed course price, but taxes may vary if the customer is located outside the United Kingdom and local regulations require separate collection. Prices are subject to change, but the price at the time of order confirmation remains fixed for that transaction.

Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers for purchases of Course A. Payment is authorised at the point of checkout through secure third-party processors that comply with UK payment standards. All transactions are protected by encryption and industry-standard security protocols. starrifyel does not store full card details. Authorisation confirms sufficient funds and validates the payment method before access to the course is granted.

Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed

Upon successful payment, an order confirmation email is sent to the customer containing details of the purchase, access instructions, and a summary of terms. The contract between the customer and starrifyel is formed when the confirmation email is dispatched. This marks the point at which the customer gains immediate access to the digital content of Course A.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without providing a reason. However, because Course A is digital content, cancellation rights may be lost once download or access begins if the customer has expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that the right will be lost. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with effect from the next billing cycle.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services

Refunds are available within the 14-day period if the customer has not accessed or downloaded the course materials. Once access has commenced, refunds are generally not provided except in cases of technical failure or error on our part. Promotional offers, gift purchases, and completed live workshop sessions are non-refundable. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis in line with UK consumer law.

The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must contact starrifyel via the details on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. The request should include the order number, date of purchase, customer name, and a clear statement of the reason. Supporting information such as screenshots of access issues may be requested. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision

Each refund request is reviewed within 10 business days. We inspect whether access to Course A occurred, verify the purchase details, and check compliance with cancellation terms. Customers receive written notification of approval or rejection, including reasons if refused. Approved refunds are processed promptly following the decision.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer

Refunds are issued using the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, while PayPal refunds are usually faster. Bank transfers may take up to 14 days depending on the institution. starrifyel notifies the customer once the refund has been initiated.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers

Digital access to Course A begins immediately upon purchase, affecting cancellation rights as noted. Subscription renewals continue automatically until cancelled. Promotional discounts apply only to the initial term and do not extend refund windows. If a subscription is cancelled mid-term, access remains until the end of the paid period with no pro-rata refund unless required by law.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments result in order cancellation and no access granted. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically where verified. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may lead to account review. Suspected fraudulent activity results in immediate order suspension and reporting to relevant authorities in accordance with UK regulations.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom That the Policy Cannot Exclude

Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Customers retain rights to remedies for faulty digital content, including repair, replacement, or refund where the service does not meet legal standards. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
