Train on a working broadcast floor

Theory only goes so far. Our learners set up the studio, run the cameras and balance the sound under real show conditions, so the first live broadcast never feels like the first time.

  • Pedestal, jib and handheld moves rehearsed on a live set
  • Lighting and microphone choices matched to the shot
  • Cues, talkback and recovery practised until they are calm

FAQ

Still have more questions? Visit our contact page to get in touch.

Who are the courses for?

Aspiring and working camera operators, floor crew, lighting and sound assistants, and gallery team members who want to move confidently around a television news or live show studio.

Do I need previous experience?

No. The Foundation course starts from the basics of studio layout and safety. Our intensive courses suit people with some experience who want to sharpen their live skills.

What equipment will we train on?

Broadcast pedestal and jib cameras, PTZ units, LED lighting, wireless and boom microphones, a vision mixer and an intercom system, all set up as they would be for a real show.

Can you train our team in our own studio?

Yes. We can plan an on-site programme around your equipment and rundown. Send us a message through the contact page and we will prepare a tailored proposal.

Are there discounts for groups?

Early-booking and group discounts are available on most courses. Prices shown on the services page already include the current offers.
